العقبة، الأردن: تستعد مدينة العقبة لاستضافة نسخة جديدة من أيلة نصف ماراثون البحر الأحمر يوم الجمعة 4 كانون الأول 2026، بتنظيم من الجمعية الأردنية للماراثونات Run Jordan، بالشراكة مع سلطة منطقة العقبة الاقتصادية الخاصة، وبدعم من شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير، الراعي الرسمي للسباق.
وتحمل نسخة هذا العام محطة مهمة في مسيرة السباق، مع حصوله على التصنيف الدولي لسباقات الطرق للسنة الثانية على التوالي، بما يعكس استمرارية العمل على تطوير الحدث والارتقاء بمعايير تنظيمه، ويعزز حضوره ضمن الفعاليات الرياضية التي تستقطب العدّائين من داخل الأردن وخارجه.
وفي هذا السياق، قالت الآنسة لينا الكرد، المدير العام للجمعية الأردنية للماراثونات (Run Jordan): «يمثل استمرار حصول أيلة نصف ماراثون البحر الأحمر على التصنيف الدولي محطة مهمة في مسيرة السباق، ويؤكد حرصنا على مواصلة تطويره وتقديم تجربة مميزة للعدّائين. كما نعتز بدور هذا الحدث في إبراز العقبة كوجهة رياضية وسياحية، وبالرسالة المجتمعية التي يحملها من خلال توظيف الرياضة لدعم المبادرات التي تترك أثرًا إيجابيًا في المجتمع».
وتمنح العقبة السباق طابعًا مميزًا، بفضل موقعها على البحر الأحمر وتنوع تجاربها السياحية والطبيعية، ما يتيح للمشاركين الجمع بين التحدي الرياضي واكتشاف المدينة. كما يسهم الحدث في تنشيط الحركة السياحية، واستقطاب الزوار، وتعزيز حضور الرياضة كأحد روافد النشاط الاقتصادي والمجتمعي في المحافظة.
ويحافظ السباق على رسالته في ربط المشاركة الرياضية بالعطاء، من خلال شعاره «أركض لغايات نبيلة»، الذي يعكس توجه Run Jordan نحو توسيع أثر الفعاليات الرياضية ودعم المبادرات الإنسانية والتنموية. وتواصل الجمعية كذلك الاهتمام بممارسات الاستدامة وتشجيع مشاركة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، بما يعزز فرص المشاركة الرياضية ويجعلها أكثر شمولًا.
ومن المتوقع أن تجمع نسخة هذا العام عدّائين من مستويات وخلفيات مختلفة، ضمن فئات السباق التي تتيح المشاركة أمام شرائح متنوعة من المجتمع، في أجواء تجمع التحدي والتفاعل المجتمعي، وتمنح المشاركين فرصة لخوض تجربة رياضية في واحدة من أبرز الوجهات الساحلية في المملكة.
ويقام أيلة نصف ماراثون البحر الأحمر بدعم من شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير وشركائه، الذين يشكل تعاونهم ركيزة أساسية في استمرارية الحدث وتطوره عامًا بعد عام.
ومع استعداده لاستقبال المشاركين في نسخته الجديدة، يواصل أيلة نصف ماراثون البحر الأحمر تعزيز حضوره كحدث رياضي يجمع بين المعايير الدولية والبعد السياحي والمجتمعي، ويمنح العقبة مساحة متجددة للاحتفاء بالرياضة وتحويلها إلى تجربة ذات أثر يتجاوز يوم السباق.
Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon Strengthens Its International Standing for the Second Consecutive Year
Aqaba, Jordan – December 4, 2026: Aqaba is set to host a new edition of the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon on Friday, December 4, 2026. The event is organized by the Jordanian Marathon Association Run Jordan, in partnership with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and supported by Ayla Oasis Development Company as the race’s official sponsor.
This year’s edition marks an important milestone in the race’s journey, as it has received the international road race label for the second consecutive year. This recognition reflects ongoing efforts to develop the event, uphold international race organization standards, and strengthen its presence among sporting events attracting runners from Jordan and abroad.
Commenting on the occasion, Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, said: "Receiving the international label for the second consecutive year is an important milestone for the Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon and reflects our commitment to continuously developing the race and delivering a distinctive experience for runners. We are also proud of the event’s role in positioning Aqaba as a sports and tourism destination, while advancing its community mission through sport and initiatives that create a positive impact.”
Aqaba gives the race a distinctive setting, with its location on the Red Sea and its diverse natural and tourism attractions offering participants an opportunity to combine athletic achievement with discovering the city. The event also contributes to promoting sports tourism, attracting visitors, and strengthening the role of sporting events in supporting the local economy and community.
The race continues to connect sports participation with giving through its slogan, "Run for a Good Cause,” reflecting Run Jordan’s commitment to expanding the positive impact of sporting events and supporting humanitarian and development initiatives. The Association also continues to promote environmentally responsible practices and encourage the participation of persons with disabilities, helping create more inclusive opportunities to take part in sport.
This year’s edition is expected to bring together runners from different backgrounds and experience levels across race categories designed to welcome a broad range of participants. The event offers an opportunity to experience the challenge of running in one of Jordan’s leading coastal destinations, in an atmosphere that combines sporting ambition with community engagement.
