The National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), the Regional Forest Agency for Land and Environment of Sardinia (Fo.Re.S.T.A.S.) and the whole LIVINGAGRO Consortium are reminding interested stakeholders to complete their registration for the Second B2B event in Jordan on Grazed Woodlands before March 13th, 2023.

The event will take place at the Regency Palace Amman- Queen Aliaa Street, Amman – Jordan, on the 15th of March 2023, with the contribution of a distinguished panel of acclaimed speakers from Jordan, Italy and Greece, who will share their experiences and present cutting-edge technologies to assess and develop the sustainable approaches for improvement of the forests’ health in Jordan. Innovative topics are on the agenda, as interested stakeholders can benefit from the experts’ concepts, designs and research tackling issues such as the selection of shade tolerant species for under-sowing grazed woodlands to increase animal carrying capacity in Mediterranean climates, assessing carrying capacity of grazing animals in agroforestry systems, as well as forest ecosystem restoration and natural regeneration and wildlife conservation.
In addition, the event will feature an open discussion moderated by a facilitator through a participatory approach, aiming to provide participants with guidelines of best practices in grazed woodland agroforestry systems. The event also offers a unique opportunity for economic stakeholders, decision-makers, and research stakeholders to request one-on-one business meetings to benefit from the achievements of innovators and the LIVINGAGRO Consortium in this field.

Due to limited places, stakeholders interested to attend are encouraged to check the detailed program leaflet of the event and register before March 13th, 2023 for their in-person or online participation via this link https://livingagrolab.eu/event/second-b2b-event-in-jordan-on-grazed-woodlands/.

The Cross Border Living Laboratories for Agroforestry (LIVINGAGRO) project is co-funded by the European Union through the ENI CBC Med Programme 2014 – 2020 and implemented in Italy, Greece, Lebanon and Jordan. The project aims to support education, research and development, innovation, and technology transfer, including sharing of research results, by establishing two Living Labs, one for multifunctional olive systems (Living Lab 1) and the other for grazed woodlands (Living Lab 2).
